Before His accession, Jesus left His apostles with a Great Commission to go and SPREAD THE GOSPEL, BAPTIZE THOSE WHO BELIEVE, and TEACH THOSE WHO BECAME DISCIPLES just as Jesus taught them. (Matthew 28:19-20) This is the beginning and the basis of the Church Body in mission and purpose. Though church culture today still seems to have a focus on an idea of evangelism and salvation, a majority have seemed to have forgotten the birthplace of these actions - DISCIPLESHIP.
We believe that this is where we begin. Instead of existing solely to reach those who are lost, we also exist for those who are in the Body of Christ for the glory of Christ (1 John 5:1-2). This will bring about lives dedicated to our Lord Jesus (Luke 9:23-24), that live out in testimony to the Gospel in word and deed (James 1:22-25), and fulfill the calling of the Body and its members to function correctly (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).
DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS
Evangelism, service, sacrifice, fellowship, mission, and love for Christ and the Body can only be lived out by those who are true disciples of Jesus Christ. This can only come from teaching of the Scriptures, obedience in prayer, and the work of the Holy Spirit in us being lived out every day as the Body of Christ. This is who we want to be for Christ.

WORSHIP GATHERINGS
Every Sunday we gather as one body in worship of our Lord Jesus. We gather for times of prayer, testimony, Biblical and Gospel teaching, as well as the sharing of a meal together in fellowship and communion. These gatherings are different from what most of us are used to in a Sunday worship “service,” but we do this to reflect the actions of the Church in the scriptures, which leads us to draw closer in worship to Christ Jesus and in love for each other in the Body. (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:24-25)

COMMUNITY KITCHEN
Every week we serve those in need through a local restaurant ran by a portion of the leadership at For Christ. This not only enables us to feed our community but it gives us an opportunity to show the love of Christ Jesus to all who receive. We pursue the calling to be THE CHURCH, and those who are members are first and foremost members of the Church Body of Christ, not a social club. The Church is not a building, pastor, business, or brand. We are a family of brothers and sisters who live as one for Christ. This reflects in our love for God, our love for our fellow members, and our love for those outside of the Body. (1 Corinthians 12:12-31, Romans 12:4-5, Ephesians 4:16, Colossians 1:18, Colossians 3:14-16)
Jesus began with discipleship, and so shall we - TRUE discipleship through which evangelism, sacrifice, fellowship, mission, and love for Christ and the Body all flow. - This can only come from teaching and living out Biblical truth every day as the Body of Christ under His head leadership with the service of the Elders and Deacons who guide our local Church. Our Discipleship Groups are not social gatherings with useless talk but brothers and sisters of the Body who come together to walk the narrow path together through prayer, scripture, Biblical teaching, and fellowship. (Ephesians 4:11-17, 1 Corinthians 11:1, Acts 2:42, Matthew 16:24-25, 1 Peter 2:21, Matthew 7:13-14)
It’s easy in our christian culture to see the Church as a Sunday morning worship service, a small group gathering, a brand name, or even a pastor, but it is so much more. Through the Holy Scriptures, we understand that if we truly exist for Jesus Christ alone, then we cannot choose when we take up or put down our cross or “act like Christians”; if it is true in our hearts we should never want to be anything other than His. The disciples we are on Sunday must be the same as every day after. This comes not through our own power but through the Holy Spirit within us and the Church Body walking together in the light. (John 14:21-24, Matthew 10:38-39, Galatians 5:22, Romans 6:1-23, Philippians 2:12-13)
With so many church organizations filling our community, why do we need another one? You’re right. We really don’t need another church organization; we just need more that focus on the true goal of the Church and nothing else. That is the soul focus of what we do. We will do nothing more than the Biblical actions and commands called of the Church Body, and we will do nothing less to appeal to the world. We believe the full Gospel and the Word of God are BOTH sufficient and need nothing added from us to reach those who are lost and to lead those who are Disciples. Yes, kids are welcomed at the Worship Gatherings.
We believe children should be a part of the gatherings, so we do not have childcare. This gives them a chance to see what true worship and fellowship looks like as well as participate with their family. We do this to strengthen the family in Christ.

You’re welcome to come to our Worship Gatherings on Sundays as well as our Community Kitchen. Discipleship Groups are only available to those who are members of the For Church Body of Believers.

Though they are groups meeting in a smaller setting, the idea of small groups differs in experience for some. Discipleship Groups are not social clubs; they are solely focused on the growth of the individuals and Church Body toward the likeness of Jesus.

Though it is agreeably different from the norm of our church culture, It is an available place for us to meet currently.
We are more focused on the growth of the Body spiritually than the growth of the organization and physical locations. We will be thankful for His will no matter where He has us.

For Christ is led by a group of Elders held to the Biblical qualifications found in 1 Timothy and Titus. Per Scriptural example, there is no “lead” pastor but a body of Elders/pastors equal in all requirements for leadership, leading each other in both accountability and encouragement. Each elder oversees certain portions of ministry based on their Spirit-given gifts.
